Annabel Mountford Soprano
THE CLIENT:
Annabel Mountford is a young soprano at the start of her career as a professional classical singer.
THE BRIEF:
Annabel wanted a site that appeared professional and elegant and conveyed a fresh image. To showcase her range of operatic roles she also wanted a Photo Gallery with publicity shots from her performances. Annabel wanted to be able to easily update the site herself so a Content Management System (CMS) was required.
MY ROLE: Web design and development
MY DESIGN SOLUTION:
To create an impression of elegance I centred the design around a patterned wallpaper background and elegant serif font for the header and name of the site: Annabel Mountford soprano. Fresh, vibrant colours were used for the patterned background. Each page had a different colour scheme linking the background, the word 'soprano' in the title, the navigation bar, page title and links. I built a dynamic Photo Gallery that included pop-up larger images for a more detailed view.
FEATURES:
- A Javascript lightbox photo gallery made using Highslide JS
- A content management system (CMS) was installed once the design was complete and then customised for Annabel
- A personally tailored Handbook to accompany the CMS, written by ZenAngie, with step by step instructions on how to update the website using the CMS
- a different colour scheme for each page
- A reCAPTCHA php contact form to help reduce spam
- Google Analytics
